I'm an idiot

I made in impromptu stop to the grocery store on the way home from work a couple days ago. Picking up Jackson, of course, then comes next. Between him, his backpack, my purse, and my school bag, you can imagine my hands are usually pretty full.

Do you know where this is going?

My rotisserie chicken, two gallons of milk, tortilla shells, and hair mousse sat in the trunk until 10pm that night, when I yelled down (i was already 3/4 of the way to bed) to Scott, "YIKES [or something LIKE that!] - There are groceries in the trunk!!!" He, dutifully, retrieved them and placed in the appropriate INDOOR places.

Thank goodness Minnesota provides a nice ice box for a garage...

Your mousse will now smell like chicken.

You are not alone... if it makes you feel better, when Em and I were living in or apartment in college... I left a gallon of orange juice in my trunk...... for 6 months. (I think it was for the champain breakfast....in January)

OPened the trunk in July fearing that someone had stowed a dead body in there and discovered it.... and getting a big wiff... promtply yacked on the ground:P

It is so funny now... but at least you remembered sooner then me:P

I also did something similar ... a couple of days (okay, maybe weeks) before Christmas I had gone grocery shopping and I had not been able to carry everything in from the car. I completely forgot about the bag of potatoes that was left in the trunk. My husband went to clean out the trunk on Christmas morning to put gifts in to transport to our family's houses, and promptly found rotting potatoes. Needless to say, he was not too happy!

Brad and I forgot Drew one day. We were both at an event at school and thought the other one had him. He was probably in second grade. I get home and ask where he is to only find out he was still at school. The principal called me on my cell phone on the way back to get him.
Groceries are no biggie when you think about it. You got the important stuff inside.

I've done the exact same thing retreving groceries from the car at night.
