You know you're in Minnesota when...

...you're at the play place in the mall and you are disapprovingly watching older boys play with imaginary artillery, ducking and hiding and shooting each other with their finger-barrels, when a mother corrects, "Jimmy, you know we only use guns to shoot animals, not humans."

This story was told by my husband, who takes Jackson nearly every Saturday to the mall place place. It gave me a really good laugh.

Wonder if Jimmy turned his gun on the innocent plastic frog and duck other small children were riding on?

Oddly enough, I have this conversation with Noah as he fires off his Nerf crossbow, rifle and pistol. To grow up in a hunting family is something else!

Tristan use to raise his toy gun and kill me daily. He's killed, frozen, set ablaze, or maimed all of us in the past.

He's toned down all that alot when he's around us. Lord knows what he does when he's with Dummy Daddy.

It's called the Sara Palin Syndrome (SPS) I think.
