Q: What happens when a digital camera is left in one's lawn, exposed to sun, rain and all other elements, then recovered three days later?

A: It powers on, but other functions in question. I'm too scared to spend time with it and find out JUST the extent of the damage.

Must be a bug going around... my camera starts up, and then shuts down. Investigation continues...

Oh boy! I hope you can at least get the pics off of the memory card if the camera cannot be saved!

Yeeesh. Hope you can save your pics. What brand is it?

I know this sounds completely random, but put the camera in a zip lock baggie of white rice - somehow, the rice will pull the moisture out. Give it a couple of days. I know this works for cell phones, but not sure about cameras.

OMG if it works, call the company and tell them about it. They may pay you for the good advertising idea.

Your camera is now changed into a piece of toast.

Hairdryers work wonders. My cell phone went through a whole cycle in the washing machine. Jessica dried it out with the hairdryer and I'm still using it several months later.
